ABOUT
Cyndel has served the Redding area as a labor doula since 2009. She has training with Connie Sultana, BA, CD(DONA), ICCE, LCCE; through DONA International and has also received a certificate as a lactation educator through Molly Pessl, BSN, IBCLC of Evergreen Perinatal Education.
In her free time Cyndel enjoys spending time with her family, especially her son Cannon (pictured with her below) and beau Aaron. They love to hike and travel. She also enjoys sewing, gardening and cooking (but not doing the dishes).

SERVICES
Standard Services
Includes initial consultation, 24-hour support, up to two prenatal visits, guaranteed availability two weeks around your due date, attendance at labor and delivery, assistance up to two hours after birth; including breastfeeding support and one postpartum visit.
Initial Consultation
This visit is free of charge. It is an opportunity for us to get acquainted and to address any questions you have about my services.
24-Hour Support
Throughout your late pregnancy and early postpartum time I will be available to you 24 hours a day via phone or e-mail.
Prenatal Visit(s)
During this time together we will explore your hopes and concerns regarding pregnancy, labor and birth. We will also address your partner's feelings about birth and how we will work together to provide you with the best support possible. We will discuss the birthing process and formulate a birth plan. We will also explore and practice relaxation techniques and comfort measures that are best suited for you.
Guaranteed Availability
I will be on-call exclusively for your birth two weeks around your due date. If labor begins at another time I will do everything in my power to attend your birth. In the unlikely event that I cannot attend your birth, arrangements will be made with another area doula.
Attendance at Labor and Delivery
I will join you as labor progresses to provide continuous physical, emotional and informational support.
Assistance Up to Two Hours After Delivery
After delivery I will stay to make sure your new family gets settled. I will help establish breastfeeding and newborn care.
Postpartum Visit
Within two weeks of birth I will visit with you to offer additional support as you adjust to the transition of caring for your newborn. We will also have a chance to recount your birthing experience. Nothing is off limits. This is a time to check in with your mind and body to be sure all your needs are being taken care of.
Additional Options
Postpartum Doula Support
I am also available for postpartum support. Services can include in-home lactation and breastfeeding support, housekeeping duties, childcare, or other duties you may request assistance for as a new mom.
Miscellaneous
Miscellaneous services may also be provided if desired, such as photography or videotaping.
(Additional prenatal appointments, postpartum support and miscellaneous requests are an additional charge. Pricing will depend upon the time and nature of the request.)
